To be eligible for nomination for a California Association of School Social Workers (CASSW) School Social Work of the Year Award, nominees must hold an MSW and be currently working as a school social worker or serving in a similar capacity under a different title. While CASSW membership is encouraged, it is not required for nomination.

This year, CASSW is proud to recognize outstanding contributions across multiple categories:

  • Elementary School Social Worker
     

  • Middle School Social Worker
     

  • High School Social Worker
     

  • District-Wide School Social Worker
     

  • Administrative School Social Worker
     

  • School Social Work Intern
     

Nominations will be accepted until 5:00 PM on December 5, 2025.
Award recipients will be announced at the 2025 CASSW Annual Conference on January 12, 2025.
