1924-2021
As we wrap up the first week of 2022 the CASSW Organization would like to honor a very special person to us, the founder of CASSW Marianne Pennekamp who passed at the age of 97 in December of 2021. Many who knew Marianne describe her as a pioneer in the field of School Social Work in California and a force to be reckoned with in her years of supporting and advocating for youth in schools. We have attached a couple of articles so you all get learn more about the amazing human that founded our great organization! Also a picture of her and past CASSW President Robert Ayasse at a CASSW Conference. We are grateful for all Marianne has done for us and the path she made for our field. She will be greatly missed!
