About the Conference
The California Association of School Social Workers (CASSW) is excited
to bring our annual conference to Bakersfield for the first time! Fresh
off a sold-out success in Sacramento, we're ready to continue our
tradition of providing the only conference in California specifically
designed and led by School Social Workers.
This is more than just a conference; it's one of the state’s most powerful
events for those advocating for and promoting inclusive policies,
implementing best practices in the field, and staying current with trends
that enhance the well-being of school communities as a whole.
While the conference is designed for school social workers, we warmly
welcome a diverse audience dedicated to student well-being. Our
attendees include: current and future School Social Workers, Mental
Health Clinicians, School and District Administrators, and Pupil
Personnel Services (PPS) Professionals.
Join us in Bakersfield as we empower our school communities to be
more equitable, compassionate, and supportive.

To register for the 2026 CASSW Conference, you must go to our website
www.cassw.net and go to the Events tab. Registration will open in October.

Conference rates are based on CASSW Membership Status:
To check your status, log into the CASSW website member portal. If you need further assistance with membership, please reach out to president@cassw.net

If your district, county office or agency is needing to pay via Purchase Order,
this can be obtained by emailing treasurer@cassw.net -
CASSW can provide a W-9 to your district if this form is needed.

Registration can be purchased with a credit or debit card on our website. CASSW can also send a direct payment link to your district.

Conference Sessions: to see a full list, check our website mid-September. Schedule of sessions is still being finalized.

Registration will open October 1st, 2025.

Because we are still finalizing the sessions and schedule, we do not have a concrete number of CEU’s, but it will be at least 10. Per the feedback we received from the 2024 conference attendees, this conference will be 2 days of sessions, no pre-conference this year.

Accommodations: CASSW does not have a block of hotel rooms. There are a number of hotels within a 7 mile radius of the venue, below you will find hotels and distances from venue:

Meals: light breakfast and lunch will be provided on site both days of the conference. Dietary needs will be asked at the time of registration. Vegetarian and Gluten Free options will be available only upon request. Food is included in the registration fee.

Continuing Education Units: NASW is our CEU provider for all of our professional development events. CEU’s will be available for purchase. The cost is $15 for one day or $25 for both days.

Cancellation Policy: refunds will take place up until December 31, 2025. Refunds will not be given starting on January 1, 2026.
