Dear California School Social Work Colleagues and Partners,
We are thrilled to announce that the 2027 California Association of School Social Workers (CASSW) Conference will be held at the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) on February 11 & 12, 2027!
This year's theme, "The Architecture of Care: Anchoring Our Schools in Uncertain Times," honors the essential work school social workers do every day to build strong, stable foundations for students and families. Our tagline, "Bridging Systems, Protecting Families, Inspiring Justice," reflects our collective commitment to advocacy, equity, and connection.

📋 Call for Proposals — We Want to Hear From You!
We invite you to submit a Request for Proposal (RFP) to share your expertise, research, and innovative practices. This is a unique opportunity to uplift your voice, connect with peers, and inspire others in our field.
Based on feedback from past conference evaluations, we are especially interested in proposals on the following topics — though all ideas are welcome:
• Attendance & Chronic Absenteeism
• Restorative Practices
• Family Engagement
• Collaboration of Multidisciplinary Teams
• School Social Workers in Advocacy
• Supervision
Whether you are a seasoned presenter or a first-time contributor, a student or a veteran practitioner, we welcome proposals that reflect the diverse experiences and powerful work happening in School Social Work across California.
